How did you discover your passion for music?
I discovered my passion for music early, my passion for making music was actually on accident. I started to write poetry to process my emotions, shortly afterwards I began to write raps and lyrics, not that serious. But when I got Ableton from my dad, things got serious, I started making my own beats, with no knowledge of whatsoever, I just did what felt right.
What music did you grow up with? And who do you consider an influence of your music?
I grew up with a lot of genres, my mom is a die hard Prince fan and my dad is into house and rap. I’ve always looked up to people like Missy Elliot, the Pussy Cat Dolls and more. I was drawn to R&B but expanded my taste for music after getting into Spotify in 2014.
Besides music, what makes you feel good?
Things that make me feel good beside music are definitely; good and healthy food, modeling, hanging out with friends, and creating in any form. Spa days also make me very happy.
Any other artistic medium you are interested to explore?
The other artistic medium I am interested in are quite in my life already. I draw and paint a lot, I’d like to become better at that.
Three words you would use to describe your music.
I would describe my music as calm, honest, mostly serious topics but I also like to use humor. I usually write songs that radiate my mood, so it depends on how I feel.
If you could choose any era to sing in it in which would it be? Why?
If I could choose any era to sing in I’d choose the 70’s or 80’s. I feel like music had a lot more soul around those periods, other wise I’d choose a period where people NEED music, maybe to distract them or give them hope.
Tell us more about your stage name?
My full name is, Joanna Adina Dorothea Ellyse.
My initials seemed like a great artist name, because, its me. My grandma is the only one calling me Jade, I kind of wanted to change that.
Your goals for the next years?
My goals for the next years is everything I’m working on right now, but bigger. More music, shoots and fun. Definitely.

Piety.
